Surface milling

This is where the glass is given the desired thickness. Relatively coarse tools are used.

Surface lapping

To prepare the glass for polishing and to eliminate all surface irregularities, it is lapped.

Surface polishing

This is the finest form of surface finishing for the highest optical quality.
