Gorilla® Glass is one of the best-known specialty glasses for applications that require a combination of high durability and thin material thicknesses. Thanks to its chemical toughening process, the material offers high scratch resistance and improved resistance to mechanical stress.
Schröder Spezialglas stocks Gorilla® Glass 3 in thicknesses of 0.55 mm, 0.7 mm, 1.1 mm, and 1.8 mm and uses it to manufacture custom components according to customer specifications.
Gorilla® Glass is based on a special aluminosilicate glass that gains additional strength through a chemical tempering process. This makes the material particularly well-suited for applications that require low weight, high transparency, and a robust surface.
The combination of high durability and thin material thickness opens up a wide range of applications—from protective glass and display covers to custom-designed components. Depending on the requirements, various contours, cutouts, and finishes can be produced.
